Into the far east in Greenland, there is a hidden gem, named "Tasiilaq".
Though being quite remote, it is the largest town on the east coast, surrounded by scenic mountains, rivers, icebergs, and a heart-warming welcoming community of great hospitality.
Tasiilaq is also close to the large glacial fiord, named "Sermilik", in which the name refers to: "The place with glaciers".
Arctic adventures during the summer, includes hiking and boat tours to the fjord, where the most common whales are: The Fin whale, Humpback whale, Pilot whale and Orcas.
During the winter, adventures includes dog sledding with the rare and unique Greenlandic dogs and snowmobiling!

Dog Sledding Adventure

This tour provides with a perfect opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the vast and demanding nature in the arctic, while you sit on the Inuit's ancient main means of transportation; the sled, while being able to take in and absorb the beautiful views of the scenery and landscapes in any direction you look that this magnificent and unique place has to offer, while enjoying the cold breeze.
On this adventure tour, you will be taking off from the north side of the town of Tasiilaq and be introduced to the musher and his sled dogs!
This trip will also be taking you across the majestic Tasiilaq fjord, where the landscape is an untouched paradise with only traces of cross country skiers, snowmobile tracks, and potentially some animal tracks if luck bids for it.
Furthermore, on this astonishing trip, you will go to the 'Qorlortoq' lake, which is located approximately 10 kilometers / 6 miles from town, taking you further inland onto the Ammassalik Island.
During the tour, breaks to allow for pictures of the mesmerizing winter landscape will be arranged.
As it can get extremely cold in Greenland as it is in the arctic, make sure that you bring your warm winter clothing with you!

This tour will be bringing you across the 'Ammassalik' Island, where you will be crossing frozen fjords, lakes and hilly terrain.
On this dog sledding adventure, you will feel the rush of going downhill.
During the tour, breaks to allow for pictures of the mesmerizing winter landscape will be arranged.
The destination for this trip is a crossroad situated between 'Tasiilaq', the settlement of 'Tiniteqilaaq' and the hunting area of 'Ukiverajik'.
The crossroad is known as:
"The Coffeehouses", and it refers to the three huts placed at the crossroad.
It is also known as a meeting point between the locals, where they share a cup of coffee on their trips.
Coffee will be brought along on the sled.
At the coffee houses you will be having a lunch break and you will be able to greet and say hello to the sled dogs.
After the break, the sled will be turning around and you will be heading back towards Tasiilaq.
As it can get extremely cold in Greenland as it is in the arctic, make sure that you bring your warm winter clothing with you!
